Barcelona Grand Prix

I had booked the Grand Prix for my husbands birthday, was a little apprehensive because I had never been to Barcelona before or booked through Book F1. I didn't need to worry. Booked the seats and transfers and received tickets and full information of all transfers. Everything bent very smoothly. My husband is already talking about going to a different Grand Prix next year. We Will not hesitate to book with Book F1 again . Thank you

A really great racing weekend at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit

star

On our second visit to the Spanish Grand Prix, we treated ourselves to Stand A tickets & were not disappointed. There's an excellent view of turn 1 from the grass & our seats, which were in the lower tiers closest to the corner. The seats higher up the stand would have a more extensive view of the turn & uphill to turns 2 & 3, even perhaps across to the track between turns 5,6 & 7, but as a result, the cars would be much smaller. We enjoyed being able to clearly see the driver numbers & with two TV screens opposite, missed none of the action. The Barcelona-Catalunya circuit has extensive General Admission spaces, but very few with access to TV screens or tannoys to be able to follow the race. The day was hot & there's very little, or no shade other than in the covered Main Grandstand & Stand I so we did watch the other races from General Admission areas under the trees. We're still deciding whether the additional cost for Stand A was worth it, but I think-so. Next time we'll take a parasol to sit on the grass there & enjoy the full racing experience. We did take advantage of our weekend tickets to enter some of the other stands on practice day & observe the view, but I wouldn't say the extra cost in the Main Grandstand would be worth it. If sitting in the upper tiers, you would have shade & a good view of pit lane activity, but the cars hurtling down the start/finish straight would be going too fast (in my opinion) to actually see much.

Great race, great tickets, great weekend

We stayed in Barcelona centre near too main bus station Estacio Nord, we bought shuttle tickets from bus station at 15 euros a day return, a bargain as service ran multiple times through out all days of meeting dropping off near to the main grandstand gate 4. shuttle service was very well organised with plenty of coaches on all days. We booked tickets in stand A which gave great views of finish straight and in particular turn one. Worth noting that Circuit De Catalunya is alcohol free, alcohol can however be bought from temporary bars outside the track gates, prices a little steep though at 6 euros a pint or 12 euros a lire. I can’t speak highly enough of the ticket purchase process via Book F1.com, they kept me up dated at all times throughout the process until the day of delivery, I will definitely use this service again

Fantastic experience, easy and stress free!

Enjoyed an incredible weekend at the Barcelona GP, seats in Stand A were fantastic and the ticket also permits you to roam around the surrounding grass banks of which there were plenty so we enjoyed several vantage points over the weekend. Plenty of space around the track means spectators aren’t overly crowded, you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other which is good too. Being allowed onto the track after the race was a bonus! Would highly recommend using the Sagalés bus from Barcelona city to get to the track, it honestly couldn’t have been quicker or easier, flawless.

Great experience & atmosphere

Shuttle buses were very efficient from Bus station to track and return however the walk from bus drop off and return was very demanding and could be very difficult for people with walking problems also take the sun cream

Great Experience but plan carefully to avoid disappointment

The Barcelona F1 Grand Prix is a great experience and BOOKF1.com were great to deal with. The tickets arrived in good time by courier. We had tickets for grandstand A which gave a good view of the first corner as well as turn 2 and turn 5. There was a big screen across from the stand which was good enough to see what was being broadcast. On Friday you can try out the other stands to see what they are like. All the stand areas have their own fenced in area so on Saturday and Sunday you will be restricted to your stand area and the the common areas where the concession stands are around the track. You will be paying about five or six euro for a burger so its an idea to bring some food in with you. Security entering the track is very tight. Every bag is searched and all alcohol and metal cans containing any liquid substance including sun tan lotion will not be allowed in. Screw on tops on bottles will also be removed but when we brought in water with a flip top lid, it was allowed in. It took a long time to get in on Friday because the bag searches were taking a long time. The staff were fantastic on Saturday and Sunday and we were in very quickly even though the amount of people was far greater. Car park F was great all the way up to Sunday but once the race was over that changed. The stewards disappeared and it took over an hour to get out on to the road. Once on the road the traffic controls that are in place will see you out on the main roads in no time at all. It might help if you use the car park on the road closest to the track as you won't be trying to get out past pedestrians on the footpath on the other side of the road. Its a good idea to have a satnav and be prepared to plan your route in and out of the track following the BOOKF1.com map that comes with your tickets. We stayed in a hotel to the north of the track which meant we saw less traffic than those heading in the direction of Barcelona. Overall - great experience, well worth ticking off the bucket list.

Spanish Grand Prix

We had an excellent 3 days at Circuit De Catalunya in Spain. The circuit was well signposted as was our car park, we chose car park F as our tickets where for Stand A loacted at turn 1 where all the overtaking took place. As well as the F1 we also enjoyed F2, GP3 as well as the Porsche Super Cup practice, qualifying and the actual races over the 3 days. It was stewarded well on and off the course and at the end of race day on the Sunday the police made sure everyone got away quickly in their cars by blocking roads for non GP traffic making sure we all got to the motorways for a quick getaway. I would recommend the Spanish GP for anybody wishing to see F1 in the future. The on course prices for food and drink where reasonable and not as expensive as I thought they would be. The fan zone behind the main grandstand kept everybody entertained with lots going on, particularly the Mercedes F1 simulators.

Spanish GP good weekend some disappointments

Pros - excellent road management into and out of circuit - car park F well placed for entrance and stand A -moving around the circuit very easy Cons -screens opposite Stand A were too small requiring use of binoculars to be any use -information on screens simplistic and not informative - the PA was ineffective, echo from Stand L made it impossible to listen to -very poor WC's, no seats on pans or hand drying facilities -with the exception of the F1 runners the program did not not include the expected information about the participants and in the case of GP3 none at all -car park stewarding, both in and out, could be better attended and managed

Extremely well organisef

This was our first time at an F1 GP. I have to say it was superb. Everything was so well organised. I would reccommend booking the bus from Barcelona. It is a little pricey- £38 per couple per day- but it is well worth it. Coming out of the GP on every day the queue was enormous but the busses were constant. As soon as one was full there was another waiting. We waited about 5 mins. The food inside is quite expensive, as usual at these events, and appeared to be mostly burgers. We took our own food, as did a lot of others, which was much better. You can take in drinks although they might ask you to remove lids. It also says nothing bigger than 500ml but that wasn't the case. People had litre bottles of water. However they do not allow cans (including aerosols). There is very little shade also so make sure you check forecasts and go prepared. We had blazing sun one day, rain and cold the next! It was a brilliant experience and one we hope to repeat next year. :)

Grand Prix great Camping chaos

Circuit stands racing was fantastic we all had a great time good viewing spot end of straight. Camping the majority of people wonderful good party atmosphere But a few total idiots, evening and nightime revving up and waving Chain saws about, walking around camp grounds with these very dangerous could have been a complete nightmare, Security need to address this, Not what I would expect from Formula 1, don't kill the party atmosphere but please deal with these type of idiots.

Amazing!

This was a Christmas present for my partner as he loves the Grand Prix, I know nothing about it and it was both our first time at a race and first time at circuit de catalunya and it was out of this world. We booked the 3days and did the pit walk on the Thursday afternoon. The race was fantastic, our seats were very good (stand A) as it was the first corner (seen all the action) the 3 days had an amazing feel and it was a like a carnival, the atmosphere was great and everyone was very friendly. The train was very easy €5 return but it is a good 40 minute walk and small incline, the coach for 3 days as €36 per person for both. I would definitely get the coach as it drops you off 2 minutes from the circuit (fully air conditioned and que was very well managed and quick) All I can say is we will definitely book again.

Help for Tickets for Spanish F1

I am in Australia and needed a ticket for the Spanish F1 with a month's notice - BookF1 helped me 100% and had the ticket delivered to me in Australia within a week and before I fly out to Spain. The seat were in the stand that I wanted and were perfect - great views of the race and what an exciting race it was. I can highly recommend BookF1 to anyone anywhere, wanting tickets to the F1 .

Another fantastic F1 weekend

It just gets better and more professional each time. The organisers are certainly making it just more than racing and into an all round experience. It was more like a carnival atmosphere that built up over the 4 days until a fantastic race on the Sunday. The off circuit entertainment they are now putting on around the circuit is fantastic. The traffic management plan for parking and getting into/out of circuit on the Saturday/Sunday is now slick operation and works well. The moving off the security checks of bags to outside the ticket entry points on the Sunday was a great idea and seriously helped reduce the queues, they should do this on the Saturday as well. Only main downside was the total rip off price of 10 Euro for a litre of non alcoholic Heniken. No alcohol allowed to be consumed in circuit due to new law which is not a problem but why charge such a price for the non alcoholic beer.

Barcelona Gran Prix

Race was excellent, stand A had great view, but the general areas also had good views. Surprised at how not busy it was plenty of spare seats and general areas also not busy. Circuit food poor and expensive. Circuit easy to access/egress and park, even on race day. Pit walk was worth it, weather was great so this made a difference. Race organisation was good no real queues. Generally good experience would recommend going to this circuit. Toilets very poor third world standard.

Great weekend at Spanish GP

I have been to several Grand Prix around the world including Silverstone and I have to say Barcelona was the best/easiest to get to with mimimal fuss. We use the F1 bus service from city centre by Sagales and it was excellent. A long que after to the race on Sunday (to be expected) but it moved quick. Facilities at the track are pretty basic but adequate. Great weather meant a top weekend. Only downside was all the beer served inside he circuit is alcohol free! We sat in grandstand A, towards the back left - gave a good view of all the turn 1&2 action and the cars going round turn 3, and even turn 5 aswell. Grandstand was pretty empty, in hindsight might of saved money and just got general admission which looked very good aswell. Would of liked more on track action but that's FIA fault not the circuit.
