Seconda Variante is located on the inside of the circuit on the Second Chicane, with views of the straight before the chicane, with the run off area in front of you.
What can I see?
These seats offer a view of the famous first chicane at Monza. The drivers approach from Curva Grande, approaching the chicane from your left, and then skip over the kerbs trying no the scrub off too much speed. Too much speed or too much kerb? This chicane is unforgiving and throws the cars out into the gravel, leaving the drivers wrestling the car back on the track. In the past, this has often been an alternative overtaking spot, punishing those who made a mistake in the first chicane.
What do I get with my ticket?
Seconda Variante 9 is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

I bought tickets for the Italian Grand Prix as a birthday present for my husband. He chose seats at Seconde Variente which gave an excellent view plus there was a small screen nearby to keep up with what was happening on the rest of the circuit. We had read some pretty negative comments about the facilities, organisation and unduly partisan support of the home crowd. On the facilities, portaloos are what they are and were better than at many outdoor music events we have been too. We took our own food so can't comment on the quality/cost of the onsite catering but plenty around us did. The organisation was pretty good, well sign posted, orderly queues to get in and as we had read the restrictions had no issues with anything we took in with us. We booked the green parking which was a very short walk to our entrance gate. Plenty of police directing traffic and we got away from the circuit with remarkable ease. As for the supporters, we heard no booing, ok they were passionate but that resulted in an amazing atmosphere. But a Ferrari win may have helped that! We bought some lightweight travel cushion pads with us which were invaluable as seats are of the metal bench variety. All in all a fantastic experience.

This was my third visit to Monza and had a fanstastic time. Tickets were received on time and customer service at BookF1 were readily available to assist where needed. The roving grandstand option on Friday was great as we sat at Parabolica in FP1 and sat on the inside at turn 1 (Tribune 6C), and saw Ericsson's frightening crash in FP2. For Saturday and Sunday we sat at the 2nd chicane and couldn't believe our eyes as Vettel and Hamilton collided and then Kimi overtook Hamilton for the lead, which saw the Tifosi go wild! Amazing atmosphere, especially the track invasion after the race. Hint: If taking the shuttle bus from Monza station, it will drop you for about a 15 min walk from the Parabolica entrance. We noticed the queue here on all days was horrendous (I've heard up to 90 mins for some on raceday!). Instead, once you get to the Parabbolica entrance queue, turn left, walk an extra 10 mins to the Vedano entrance and you will save yourself an hour getting into the circuit. Overall a fantastic event, and a circuit that oozes history - the old banking alone is a sight to behold. Facilities are no match for modern circuits such as Abu Dhabi, however the passion from the crowd at Monza is rivaled only by Silverstone in my experience. Food/bathroom facilities could be improved compared to other circuits but Monza is a must-do event for any serious F1 fan.

We were in Stand 9, just at the 2nd Chicane, where Vettel and Hamilton came together! Great location to watch the race and great atmosphere from the crowd.

This year's race was exceptional - with Ferrari front row lockout. Fans were in top form. The race was just as good with an incredible win by Hamilton. Race is in national park, so walking tracks can be muddy with big puddles if it rains - still very pleasant to walk through forest. General admission provides reasonable viewing opportunities. I was at second variante on Sunday (not in stand) which was filled with action this year. On Friday and some of morning of Saturday I was able to use stands with general admission ticket. Transport to track was ok on Friday and Saturday - take S7 line from Porto Garibaldi train station to Biassono Lesmo (Trenord runs this suburban line train so you need different ticket from Metro). Was different on Sunday as train just numbered S - but they did offer a 5 euro return ticket. If you get off at Monza station you will pay 5 euro more for connecting bus to track. My advice is plan ahead and leave time to buy tickets at station before boarding for getting to track as guidance is limited on the day. See atm.it for metro trains and trenord.it for suburban trains In track food and drink were at usual inflated event prices, no surprises there. Track invasion at race finish is definitely something special to be part of.

Every year we moan about toilets and nothing happens They should be emptied daily and hosed out You gave bad advice on Lesmo train it runs every day We had to walk from Maria alle Selve to seconds variants and it was a killer ! Buses need to run round circuit no one minds paying !! Needed better advice for using underground had to pay s fine for travelling on two zones can't read Italian but they were waiting for us on Saturday everyone was paying fines !!

Circuit facilities really need improving more and better food options and better toilets needed about 95% of them were portable loos. So make sure you have done your number 2 before you go

The train service to Monza station was fine as was the bus transfer from the Monza station to the Monza park itself. A lot of walking to the actual track but i knew that and it was no problem to walk the 40 mins to the my seat. AS for the way back on Saturday afternoon it was a completely different story. I walked the hour to the catch the bus for transfer back to Monza station. There were absolutely no signs in English directing you to where the bus transfer collection point was which i thought was poor. However the circuit staff were very helpful and if someone didnt have English they called over someone who did to show me where to go. The buses back to Monza station were packed but that was ok and they were very frequent. However the organisation at Monza train station was frankly hopeless. Unlike the morning, there were absolutely Marshals/staff to meet the buses nor any signs in English telling you where to go/what platform to stand at to get the train back to Milan. There was a huge crowd back on the platform with no station staff anywhere to direct people or to organise where people where to stand. When a train came along with 'Milan'on it, the crowd simply surged forward into the train. It was a very hot day and we were packed in like sardines. If you were in anyway claustrophobic or suffering from the heat or had children with you, it was inhuman to treat people this way especially as most of us were tourists. Clearly the Italian train service dont give a damn about this to treat people this way. At least they had the decency to allow us to be dropped and collected at the Lesmo station on Sunday. But then why the hell didnt they do that on Saturday? Great event,great staff at the circuit, Food good value , plenty of toilet facilities and great camrederie among the fans. But if the Italian Rail service dont change the way they operate their service on the saturday of the Grand Prix then i wouldny go there again

Had a fantastic time and definately a must for F1 enthusiasts but there are a couple of things to be aware of: 1. Use public transport as it's cheap, easy and more convenient than car. 2. Buy all train tickets at the same time and not daily (unless you like to queue for ages) - they're valid for a couple of months and not just for the day of purchase. 3. The free transport from Monza station to the circuit is great and runs continuously but you are packed in like sardines and much more so on the return (not for the claustrophobic). 4. Be prepared for quite a hike from the free bus drop off point, particularly if your viewing point is anywhere near where mine was. 4. Take something comfortable to sandwich between backside and the concrete slab you'll be sat on. 5. Sun cream/block and a hat is a must as virtually all grandstands are uncovered. 6. Insect repellant/bite stick also a must or suffer the consequences. 7. If not staying in Monza then Bergamo is a better option to Milan (cleaner, cheaper and more affordable hotels). 8. Food and drink is a tad overpriced compared to other venues, good variety of things to eat though. 9. Be prepared for long queues to catch the free return transport, particularly after Sunday's race.

Advice for a fantastic GP experience at Monza. Getting there; For the Saturday we got the S9 train from Lambrate which runs every 20 minutes for about 6 euros and is much quieter than the trains from Central Milan and goes to the same Monza station. Doesnt run on Sunday but we got the train from Garibaldi about 7am and had a clear run straight onto the train, then the shuttle bus, and no queue for access to the circuit. Access to the inside of the track is tricky away from the main straight so if you're seated at Seconde Variante ignore the signs towards the last corner and head in the main entrance then take a tunnel under the straight. Seconde Variante is a great spot. The trees shelter you from the sun in the morning but make sure you take a cusion! We requested through Book F1 a seat as high up as possible and were lucky enough to get the top row. This is the best place to sit as not only can you see over the fence, you get more space and can stand freely. The facilities away from the main straight are average but more than adequate. Decent food, plenty of water, beer, even espresso's! Toilets are ok but ladies take your own tissues! Train back from the lesmo train station on the Sunday was quick and free (massive, air conditioned trains). All in all, its a great grand prix to go to. There is a fair bit of walking through the park to be done but its a great setting so its fine if you give yourself plenty of time or dont care too much for the other races/qualy that are on. The tifosi are great fun and seemed fine with us cheering on the brits despite Hamilton's dominant victory :-)

Second time to monza. First time I viewed from stand at first chicane. This time I chose second chicane based on feedback on site. Great view od cars charging at you head on as well as off to side as they exit chicane! Long walk but worth it! I've got to admit, although emotionally monza is up there as a cathedral of f1 along with silverstone, Monaco and spa, Bertie lives in a bubble as far as his comments re silverstone are concerned - I've been to silverstone plenty over the last 20 years and it's always been a step ahead of monza! Do we really need to be going to the loo in a stinky port a potty nowadays? It seems that monza gets dispensation due to a certain pair of red cars! And why aren't better facilities available for park and ride? There's unnocupied new buildings and plenty of scrubland available that could be used. Also marshalling of crowds is odd - you could go through tunnel one way near ascari but have to deviate through the woods the other way - no track as such! Same on outside of track if you head down from main grandstands on pit straight to first chicane!

What can I say. This is my third Italian GP in a row. 2 of them on my own. I never felt alone! I will go without food to go here every september. It is as simple as that and bok F1 are as professional as you would ever want. I will employ their professional services with confidence.

Ticket ordering and delivery went without a hitch, thanks. Seats we had were row J, on the right hand side looking at the grand stand. With the trees next to here it gave nice shade on what were very hot quali and race days. My view was these were good seats (you actually sit on a concrete slab so take a cushion so its not so hard on your back side !), higher up the grand stand the better as you looked over the top of the catch fencing rather than through it. Lessons learnt : We went on thursday pm for signing autograph session, saturday and sunday. Thursday was a learning curve, ended up walking to the track from Monza train station - it's a long way! Info on public bus services (with the tickets) that take you to the track/near to the track would have been useful - the 221 got you near to the track (much nearer than the free Black Line bus service operating from the station), although that service was heaving on the sunday. Think there were others - 208, 204 I think - but the bus drivers were less than helpful. Also, you need to buy your bus tickets before you get on the bus (available from the train station tobacconist) and ice cream shops ! Yes they sell the tickets in random places. A collection point and drop off point closer to the track for the Black Line service would have been good - but that is an issue more for the circuit/organisers than the ticket companies.

Es gibt keine vergünstigten VIP-Tickets für Kinder. Es muss ein vollwertiges Standardticket erworben werden.
Rollstuhlfahrer bekommen freien Zutritt zur Rennstrecke und benötigen kein Ticket. Vedano 25 ist eine Tribüne mit Rollstuhlzugang, die nicht im Voraus gebucht werden kann, sondern einfach am Renntag besetzt wird. Auf der Tribüne ist eine Begleitperson erlaubt. Um Zugang zur Rennstrecke zu erlangen, muss die Begleitperson allerdings eine Stehplatzkarte kaufen. Es gibt in der Nähe des Vedano 25 auch einen Behindertenparkplatz, der allerdings auch nicht im Voraus gebucht werden kann. Zeigen Sie bei Ihrer Ankunft einfach einen Parkausweis vor, der Sie zum Parken auf Behindertenparkplätzen berechtig.
Nicht jeder Bereich der Rennstrecke ist für Rollstuhlfahrer zugänglich. Wenn Sie am Haupteingang ankommen, haben Sie Zutritt zur Haupttribüne außen an der Strecke (1, 4, 5, 8a, 8b, Main Straight Bleachers, 24, 25, 26a, 26b und 26c). Es gibt außerdem einen Tunnel zum Zentrum der Strecke (6a, 6b, 6c, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 20, 23a, 23b und VIP Bereiche). Am Hintereingang der Rennstrecke bei der Parabolica, haben Sie direkten Zutritt zu den Tribünen (21a, 21b, 21c, 21d, 21e and 22). Das Zentrum kann bei diesem Eingang nur über eine Fußgängerbrücke erreicht werden. Am Nordeingang (Biassano Lesmo) haben Sie Zugang zu allen zentral gelegenen Tribünen und allen Tribünen am Haupteingang.
Für Freitags-Tribünentickets und Stehplatzkarten gilt freie Platzwahl. Ausgenommen ist die Tribüne ‚Centrale: Hier sind die Sitzplätze reserviert und Ticketinhaber haben während des Rennwochenendes keinen Zugang zu anderen Tribünen.
Folgende Tribünen sind mit Sitzbänken anstatt mit einzelnen Sitzplätzen ausgestattet:
Auf Tribüne 8 liegt der Bereich 8a höher als 8b. Bei Tribüne 23 liegt 23b näher an der Boxeneinfahrt als 23a.
Die Rennstrecke in Monza liegt in einem Naturschutzgebiet. Deshalb ist in einigen Bereichen die Sicht durch Bäume eingeschränkt. Wenn Sie wegen der Sicht von einer bestimmten Tribüne aus besorgt sind, kontaktieren Sie uns gerne und wir beraten Sie, wo Sie die beste Aussicht haben.
