The famous Piscina Grandstand is a well priced grandstand located on the pit straight with views of the pit lane exit. As the name suggests, it's situated behind a swimming pool near the main straight.

What can I see?

Situated on the start/finish straight, this stand offers a great view of the end of the DRS Zone, where cars within one second of another car can activate the DRS, making the car aerodynamically faster than it's rival. This grandstand tends to sell out first, as you can see the cars lining up and overtaking into the first chicane, whilst paying a budget price for the view.

What do I get with my ticket?

Piscina 5 is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

Milan, Monza, MAGIC!!

All in all everything was superb, the weather stayed kind although heavy downpours overnight/early AM on race day meant a little muddy walking around on day of the GP. Magic for Ferrari/Le Clerc to win, although I quietly wanted Lewis to do the job, but my Dad cant stand him so he was well pleased!! Only real negative was the long queuing to get the bus back to Monza train station but it's not fair to make a big deal about that given the weekend as a whole. Milan is beautiful, expensive (very) but beautiful, although Rome is far more so but they dont hold grand prix there eh! Metro service was great, hotel (Ibis Milano Centro) was decent too, expect to spend plenty if you're having a number of drinks, eye watering prices! Crackerjack of a weekend, well worth it, despite any negatives I may have mentioned, oh and British Airways cancelling our inbound flight, not helpful, wont bore you with that!!

It was awesome

During the race weekend we did not face any problems with the tickets. The organization of GP was brilliant. Everybody gave their best to make it unforgettable. The support of TIFOSI was incredible. Monza will always be a special place for F1.

Wonderful

Everything you have done for me as been fine thank you for your help the one thing I will have to say is that the next time I will have to walk from the station to the venue and back as the bus transportation was so bad I would never use this again taxis also would be so slow the cost would just go up and up in price

Great Raceday!!!

I only went to track for the race on sunday. Everything was very well organized. I went by car and it was easy to find the parking lots and shuttles to the track. To get back to the car was easy as well. I was back with my car within an hour after the race finish. I recomend Monza any day of the week !!!

Fab but loads of walking

1st GP, we loved it, what an exciting experience! Monza circuit is a LONG walk from the shuttle bus stop. I had read that the walk was 20 minutes from bus to track but far more like an hour with bag and ticket check points that had long queues. Plus thought the shuttle bus was free provided you had a train ticket but it was 5 euros per person. All that said we were delighted with our places in Tribuna Piscina 5 just past the end of the pit lane so we got a good view of each driver practising their starts and a good view on a TV screen. We are hooked and looking to go to another one!

Spectacular

The weekend was overall brilliant such an amazing experience would highly recommend with a bounce that the f1 fan zone just out the back on the main straight.. I bought weekend ticket for grand stand 5 on pit straight view was amzing, buying the weekend tickets allowed us in to the pitlane for 2hours on Thursday night with everyone else who had weekend tickets. Friday all support and practice session were sit any were you like. Saterday in our grand stand sadly all support qualifying were cancelled due to weather when f1 go away it was stoped for 2hrs due to weather so take note if booking this grand stand as it has no roof, eventually f1 got back on track and then followed f2, Sunday every race was ran and weather could not have been better and then finally followed up with the run to the podium to see the top 3

Italian GP 2017

It was the nice weekend at Monza. Getting to the track was quite organized and effective, we lived at Milan and it was around 1.5 hours from Milan Garibaldi Train Station to our Piscina grandstand either way. It was longer on Sunday because of the contengencies near the track gates, which added one more hour to it. The view was OK, TV screens easily seen. You can see almost all the main straight from the pit entrance till after the pit exit. Of course there is not much of a track action but only fast driving cars, but you can take nice pictures of cars leaving the pits. Overall it was a nice GP, looking forward for the next one, which I will of course use BookF1.com for!

All in all a great experience of a classic race venue!

My only advice is to bring a packed lunch/snacks with you, as the queues for food vendors are often long & disorganised, with food options poorly displayed. Water bottles can be topped up at the various fonts around the park. One more thing, bring a small towel that you can dampen from time to time! Great way to cool down as the heat of the sun gets quite intense during the race!

Not what I expected (but still great!)

I think to start this off, its worth saying that the communication and the service from bookf1 has been first class... would definitely use again. As this was our first overseas GP, I expected Monza to to be full of the tifosi and passionate italians. There were however many different nationalities and a fair amount of british around where we were sitting (probably due to the allocation of those booking through bookf1) so the atmosphere wasn't quite what we were expecting, however it was still good. I'd read reviews around the steel bleachers ahead so we took some towels to sit on during qualifying and the race. I also saw that others were purchasing cushions sold within monza... would definitely recommend something as it gets a little uncomfortable. In terms of the viewpoint from stand 5, I'd recommend it. We got a good view of the start and generally the drivers were side by side when they passed us as they had aid from the DRS. Maybe next time I'd go at the first chicane, but stand 5 was pretty good. We only have Silverstone to compare against, but the F1 village and other amenities were certainly smaller than what we were used to, however there was everything there that you needed... it just meant that you couldn't kill so much time. Now I'd read the reviews from previous years regarding the distance from monza station, and rather foolishly we decided to walk it from there to the track on thursday for the pit walk... what a mistake to make!! It took us well over an hour, perhaps 90 minutes until we actually got to the start/finish straight. We caught the black line bus on saturday and sunday which was pretty good. On a slightly sour note, the portaloos weren't great. Although there weren't horrendous queues (that I saw) they're not the best standard. Just in terms of a general recommendation, we coincided the GP with a 10 night holiday on Lake Como. We stayed in Varenna, which was a 50 minute train journey direct to monza. This was one of many pluses as were heading against the tide at monza stazione (there are literally herds of people, as you would expect, that head to milano) and it allowed us to rest and recoup after the race. Overall, a great first experience of an overseas GP at monza

Lack of Big screen...

It lacked the Big screen so those who sat at "the small/low numbers could follow better.. Otherwise perfect.

Fun weekend

The race itself was amazing and the Italian fans are something else. I couldn't amagine what it would be like if a Ferrari won! Transport to and from the race was very crowded and not very well controlled and the long walks from where you get dropped were hot. Trying to buy food at the circuit was ridiculous and when you did finally get your fly blown cold pizza or roll was hardy worth it. My tip, take your own food and don't take the shuttle bus from Monza station to the track. Take the train right to the stop at the back of the track and walk. Longer walk(depending on where you are watching from) but a whole lot nicer than that horrible bus ride.

Good track but not easy access.

Putting this on late after 2013 gp so anyone booking for 2014 can learn a little about Monza. The track is outside Milan which makes a good base for the three days of GP. To get to the track is an artform, every way you use you will have to walk. Taxis drop you off away from track, buses drop you off away from track and car parking will still leave you with a walk. SO, For Friday and Saturday here's how to get to Monza From Milan, you need to get the train to Biassano Lesmo, small railway station at top left of track. The trains from Milan central run to Monza, in main station use one of the larger ticket machine which has English as an option. If you get off at Monza you get stuck in a queue for a shuttle bus to track which is 4 euros and also a 30 minute walk to track. OR you can get a train from Monza on the small branch line, you will have about a 20 minute wait but this branch line will take you to Biassano Lesmo. Alternatively you can go to Garibaldi railway station and from there the branch line starts and goes to Monza and carries onto Biassano Lesmo, takes about an hour as its a branch line but less crowded that the trains from Milan central. Once at Biassano Lesmo enter the track through the gate, as you go towards the main grandstands keep in the middle of the track, or walk to the left and follow the track clockwise. If you walk anti clockwise you get so far down then the old concrete banked track forces you to take a long detour to main grandstand area. For sunday things change, there is a train from Milan Central direct to Biassano Lesmo with trains running at about 30 minute intervals. For this train DO NOT USE TICKET MACHINE, you need to go up the stairs to the actual platform area and from here there are two small stands which sell the tickets for the sunday train, 4 euros return. On sunday trains from Biassano Lesmo back to Milan are about every 30 minutes, on Friday and Saturday one train every hour at 9 minutes past. So at the track, food is not good, hey buy a calzone pizza the night before or buy sandwiches and take to track with your drinks, take plenty as you're going to be walking a lot. Beer officially not allowed in but never saw a bag check. Vendors are all around selling cans of beer for 6euros, BUT be carefull as they try to charge 7, and 1 euro for water they try to charge 2, Either argue and they relent or wait for another vendor. Get to your seats early, if you're seats are good someone will be sitting in them if you get there late, they dont tend to argue just show them your tickets and smile. Toilets were much better than expected, only portaloos but lots of them and clean and tidy, but take some loo roll just in case. Sunscreen a must and take a cushion, most grandstands are concrete of metal, long hours = numb bums.

Full weekend at Monza

Great circuit, Buy the best tickets you can afford and make sure you can see a screen. Allow plenty of time to get to the circuit, getting through the traffic in Monza is slow, tedious and fairly disorganised, work out where to park beforehand and walk to the circuit from that point. Take a cool bag with drinks in with you, cans of lager were six euros each, cola five euros, although bottles of water were only a euro. Food is what you would expect to pay and is only slightly dearer than at British tracks. Take something padded to sit on, the terraced metal seating gets a bit uncomfortable after a couple of days! We were in Piscine stand, Row L seats113/114, these are in the shade of the trees from about midday and unless you like sitting in full sun for hours on end would advise this area to book seats. from there you can see the startline, pit exit and the screen opposite, it would appear from talking with a few people who had been before that the stands by the first chicane are also a good place to be.

very good

the race weekend was excellent , the view from our seats (princina5) allowed us to see the main straight and the race start which was gripping to say the least, all in all the porche racing,gp2,gp3 and the formula 1 racing weekwnd was fantastic, I will definitely return to Monza and book through bookf1.com..

Great atmosphere, chaos otherwise

A great race to attend for the atmosphere but the event seemed poorly organised for spectators compared to other races I have attended. A great view of the pit exit and down the main straight from the Piscina 5 stand. Catering facilities were poor and none in close proximity to the stand. Access via public transport seemed chaotic at times and involved lengthy queues and a lot of walking.

Race weekend

Yet again a great weekend with seats directly opposite a screen as well as a good view of the track. Monza is set in a royal national park so unless you are willing to spend a fortune you will always walk at least 1 mile. But plenty to see on your way there and back. Very hot in full sun and the price of water goes up as the day progresses the guys selling water seem to add their own commission to the advertised price so buy before going in. Sun cream a must. Parking between 15 and 20 euros but well organised well sign posted. Food was available either on the walk in hogroast roll (delicious) or inside but seating for eating sparce on the sunday. We spent saturday evening in a beautiful location high above lake como one hours drive from monza.

Italian GP sets the standard

This was the first grand prix my husband and I have been to and it didn't fail to disappoint. The entire weekend was an amazing experience and the atmosphere created by the fans was electric, so it has certainly set a high standard for any future grand prix's we go to! My main recommendations would be (weather permitting of course) to take plenty sun scream, water and food into the circuit, as food and drink were a bit pricey. We stayed in Milan and getting there by train for Saturday qualifying was a bit of a mission, although there were free buses which were handy, from Monza train station to the circuit, with approximately a half hour walk from the drop-off point to the actual circuit. The Sunday was a lot easier with free trains direct from Milan Central Station to Lesmo train station which is situated within the grounds of the circuit. We will definitely be planning a trip to another race weekend and would recommend booking through bookF1.com as they were extremely helpful in providing information for the race weekend and sending our tickets promptly.

Best F1 weekend yet!!

Myself and a friend have travelled to 3 Grand Prix this year; Monaco, Silverstone, and Monza. Only for Monza did we use Bookf1, and in the future it is the only company we will use to book our F1 trips. Everything worked like an absolute dream. The service was great, and the information that was sent to us prior to the trip was extremely helpful and far more than we expected. We went to both the qualifying day and the race day, choosing to sit in a general admission area for qualifying to vary our view for the next day. For the race itself we had seats on the back row of the Piscina grandstand, opposite the pit lane exit, and the view was absolutely fantastic. Seeing the cars reach their top speed and performing some incredible overtakes as they went past us down the main straight was a truly exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The circuit facilities were in no way as bad as we expected. The toilets were very clean (as far as those type of toilets can be) with no queues at them at all. There were quite big queues to get food, but they soon went down and the food was delicious and not hugely overpriced. Travelling to the circuit was easy but a bit hit and miss in terms of comfort, but nothing too bad to deal with. We found that the train to and from Monza was incredibly busy and crammed full on the Saturday, as was the free shuttle bus from Monza to the circuit. On the Sunday it was fine as there were a lot of police filtering people through in a very controlled manner. When we got off the shuttle bus there was a very long walk, but a very pleasant walk, through the park to the circuit. There was a huge queue after the race to get to the train station, but the queue was full of like minded people who were all very friendly and eager to chat about the race so in a way it was actually quite nice. A huge percentage of the fans at the circuit were Italian Ferrari fans, and with us being McLaren fans (and Hamilton winning!!!) the banter came thick and fast, but was in very good spirits and in no way intimidating! The atmosphere was incredible, completely different to any other race/circuit we've been to and we spent the whole weekend with huge smiles on our faces. The advice I would give is to go for both days to really soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the banter and the whole buzz of being there, don't get stressed with the crowds but instead enjoy them and chat with the like minded people, and take LOTS of water - the circuit is a massive heat trap! It was easily the best F1 experience we've had and one that will definitely be repeated, and definitely with using Bookf1!
